He physically appears to be in his mid-twenties. Classes: Traditional Military Techniques - Close Combat  To most of the Golden Kingdom, Kunzite is a sharp, aloof, and unattainable hero. Not only is he a high noble of the Golden Courts, but a powerful political force as well as a well established war hero and one of the highest ranking military officers in the kingdom. To the public and to the courts, he is pleasant, but detached; he only participates in many of the court games because it’s required for one of his station, but he also plays them very, very well. His high intellect and ability to hide anything he feels under a mask of amusement are both things that serve him well in politics and in battle. It is no issue for Kunzite to calmly observe the situation and turn it to his advantage, often unnerving enemies and opponents who never see the true race and speed of thoughts, ideas, and scenarios beneath his exterior. There are not many who get to see the more relaxed side of Kunzite; indeed at one point he could count the number on one hand. He is an older brother figure to the other shitennou and his ward, all of whom are younger than he, and for many years they were the only ones with whom he would drop his masks. While still a mentor and tutor at times, he is much easier to smile and laugh around these four, and around anyone he comes to truly care for. Those he cares for are also the only ones who can have any effect on his cool façade, whether through their own actions, or through the actions of anyone who could threaten them. Kunzite is fiercely loyal, and almost frighteningly passionate about their well being. He will not hesitate to use any force necessary to protect them, and once someone has threatened them, they are forever an enemy to Kunzite. One of the most defining characteristics about Kunzite is his strict adherence to honor, living by a moral code he would rather die than deviate from. This code is one he holds up to all others as well; to break this code knowingly is to become less than a person in his eyes. This applies even to those he cares for, despite his own feelings.  In an age long forgotten by most on earth, the world was united under one crown, that of the Golden Kingdom. Kunzite was the leader of the Golden Kingdom’s shitennou, the four most trusted soldiers of the king and queen, and the unit assigned to guard the crown prince, Endymion. It was a time of peace for the kingdom, as they began to enter into a tentative alliance with the second, and most powerful, kingdom of the solar system. The Silver Alliance; a union formed of the other eight planets of the system, crowned and led by the royal line of the moon. The heir to the Silver Alliance was young Serenity, protected by four of the alliance’s strongest guardians, the sailor senshi of the inner planets. Things slowly began to change for the two kingdoms. Endymion and Serenity fell in love almost immediately; a love between the two kingdoms was strictly forbidden by law, and both senshi and shitennou were forced to truly ally themselves to protect their wards from the consequences of their love. As the kingdoms grew closer politically, Kunzite and Venus- the leader of the senshi- arranged paired tours of duty for the senshi and shitennou; never would the prince and princess be without one of each unit while together, and they did their best to disguise the true nature of the royal heirs’ relationship. These duty tours brought the guardians closer than mere allies, forming friendships that would further bring the kingdoms closer, and further expose their secrets. It was just as Kunzite left one such tour of duty that he was contacted by a recruiter. Seeing in this offer a possible ally and perhaps a way to further the technologies of their kingdom, he accepted the offer to take the tests. He passed splendidly, and returned to the royal palace to consult the king and queen, and the shitennou. After eliciting a promise from his second in command, Zoisite, that he would be kept updated regularly on the status of the kingdom and alerted to any possible danger to the prince, Kunzite accepted his lieges’ urge to take the position at Starfleet.
